Country Cove Christmas Tree Farm

Trees

All our Pre-Cut trees are Premium grade and kept in our water pool barn since their arrival. We believe you won't find a fresher tree than ours! See below for the sizes and prices for 2023.  Note that we do not have all sizes in any one tree.

Our Choose-and-Cut trees are planted in neat, 6' x 6' grids so they have plenty of room to grow full and tall. We supply the saw and the measuring stick; you choose your tree and cut it down!

All tree prices from Country Cove include shaking, baling and securing to your vehicle.

Pre-Cut Fraser Fir

One of America’s most popular Christmas trees — and for good reason — the Fraser fir touts blue-green needles with silvery undersides. With excellent needle retention and stiff branches, it holds up well to ornaments. Of course, the pleasant scent is a major perk, too.

Pre-Cut Douglas Fir

A classic choice! Dense with soft, light green needles and a pleasant scent, the Douglas fir is one of the most popular Christmas tree species. Because the branches are not as stiff as some other species, the Douglas fir is best decorated with light-weight ornaments. This tree is also a good choice for budget-conscious consumers.

Pre-Cut Noble Fir

Noble in name and stature, this stately tree features short, blue-green needles. The Noble fir has some of the best needle retention among Christmas tree species, with stiff branches and an attractive form to handle heavy ornaments. You’ll also find it used as greenery for wreaths and garland.

Pre-Cut Balsam Fir

If you can’t get enough of that real Christmas tree scent, you’re in luck! The Balsam fir is among the most fragrant of all species. The Balsam fir has relatively short, dark green needles and excellent form, making it a good choice for displaying ornaments.

Choose-&-Cut Leyland Cypress

Has dark green branches; good for allergy sufferers (little or no fragrance); check water level daily.  These trees tend to dry out more quickly than others so keep the tree stand filled with water and away from heat sources. Although we will allow you to cut these trees on opening weekend, we do not recommend that you do.  Waiting until the last week of November to cut a Leyland would be more ideal.

Check water level daily and keep away from heat sources.

Choose-&-Cut Carolina Sapphire--Not Available in 2023

Our Carolina Sapphire suffered much loss with the flash freeze at the end of 2022.  A whole field of 4' - 5' Sapphires were lost, which has impacted harvest in 2023 (they can grow up to 18" in a year). We are hopeful for the next group of Sapphires, but it may be 2024 before they are ready to cut.

Has blue-green lacy branches; orange scent; check water level daily. Carolina Sapphire's will dry out quicker, even with a full water stand.
